Order Dispatcher

An opportunity to work in a busy and growing games company has arisen!

We are advertising the position of Order Dispatcher to join us in our fulfilment centre. The role is advertised as a Monday-Friday position working 10.30am-3.30pm however there is some flexibility in this.

The candidate will be capable of handling large numbers of dispatches in a busy environment. Although previous experience is not essential it would be desired.

Applicants would preferably have a broad knowledge of the products we supply however this is not essential.

In order to succeed in this role it is essential that you take pride in your work. As the final interaction with our customers parcels, their presentation and ultimately the product condition leave a lasting impression.

The ability to manage workload and meet strict deadlines means the ideal candidate will work well under pressure and rise to the challenge of large scale releases on a regular basis.

Applicants should be computer literate and capable of learning a new system.

Finally as a part of The Outpost you will be working alongside a varied and enthusiastic team, working well together and independently is essential.

The job role will include tasks such as:

– Receiving, checking and booking in of deliveries.

– Packing and labelling parcels using our bespoke system.

– Ensuring that all relevant information is made available for the customers.

– Maintaining inventory of packing materials.

– Liaising with couriers and mail companies.

– Contacting customers in relation to dispatch related queries.

– Maintaining a safe working environment and tidy work area.

This role is offered at £9.50/hr regardless of age during probation, rising to £10/hr thereafter.

Successful applicants will be contacted shortly after and invited to interview during the first week of August. We will also attempt to contact unsuccessful applicants, in the event of extremely high interest this may not be possible.

After this a single trial day alongside the team will be arranged to ensure team composition and harmony is maintained.

The successful applicant will then begin in the role with a training period of 5 days commencing on August 24th, during this time you will be taught how to operate our systems alongside current team members.

A probationary period of 3 months will follow starting on the 31st of August.
