This Joker is taken from Frank Miller’s graphic novel Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again the sequel to the Dark Knight Returns series.

In the Dark Knight Strikes Again set when Batman is 55, the Joker after spending many years in an asylum feigns remorse for his past, and convinces his doctor to take him on a talk show to tell his story where he makes plans to kill all the audience and make his escape. After succeeding in his escape, he uses mind control toxins to his robot minions to take control of a congressional representative, who calls for a nuclear strike on the Soviets to fulfil his ultimate plan and bring a nuclear conflict between the two nations.
