We’re Hiring – Store Assistant (PT)

Outpost Retail Store Assistant – Part Time (17hrs)

Do you love tabletop games, board games, trading card games, role playing games or just ‘The Hobby’ in general?

Do you enjoy talking to people, getting involved with the community and helping others discover something new?

The Outpost is looking for a Retail Store Assistant to join our team.

We’re a close-knit team, and our gaming centre is a little different from your typical retail environment. We’re a gaming centre, but we’re also a community. Our aim is to create a friendly, welcoming place for people to shop, play games, learn something new and get involved in the hobby.

The Role

This is a part-time position of a minimum of 17 hours per week, with Wednesday and Sunday being “usual working days”. Typical shift patterns would be 14:15-22:15 on weekdays, and 09:15-18:15 on Sundays.

The successful candidate will be working on a flexible, 4-weekly rota, giving them plenty of notice while allowing us to cover staff holidays, events and busier periods. The role will include some evening and weekend work, so the ideal candidate should be fully flexible.

There will also be opportunities for additional hours and overtime, particularly when covering holidays or during busy events, as well as opportunities to take on more responsibility and progress within the company.

The ideal candidate would be able and willing to pick up additional shifts.

More Than Just Retail!

The right person will also have the opportunity to work across other areas of the business such as within our ‘RELOAD Trade-in Scheme’ and The Outpost Bar.

Full training will be provided, so previous experience or training isn’t essential.
